You are a competitive applicant. Your stats and ECs are pretty good. You should focus more on getting leadership in your ECs than raising your scores up as they are great. Write amazing essays and you could get accepted to any of these schools
imo, you need to back up & decide what you want- and then you need to go visit the schools.
You are saying you want to be a History major- but you also want Stern & to be recruited by the big NYC firms. Swat, Williams & Vassar don’t even have business majors (econ is the closest thing). Stern is 100% business. That’s a big difference in both practical and philosophical terms.
Swat, Vassar & Williams (in particular) are very much ‘fit’ schools. You really, really need to visit them and see if you like them. Ideally, spend the night on campus & sit in on a class.
@collegemom3717 thanks so much for the reply! I visited all of them. I visited Vassar, for a class and the location fits perfectly (close to family), only an hour away from where I used to live, and close to NYC (go yankees, jkjk). I like all the schools, so I would like to apply Amherst ED, and Vassar EDII, if that’s possible. I’m set on history now, dw. Also this is not my full college list, I have safety schools (local state schools, less selective colleges) in my list as well. I only wanted to know specifically how much of a chance I’d have applying to my high match and reach schools.
What are my chances if applying Vassar ED1? @collegemom3717 @doorrealthe @merc81
Only ED if you are full aid or full pay. These colleges don’t give merit scholarships so use your ED wisely.
@CupCakeMuffins Full pay
@gadeorade If you are full pay then you can ED anywhere your heart desires, unless you are hoping for merit scholarships. In that case, take a look at LACs or other top schools where that’s a possibility.
Do any of you know happen to know Vassar’s gpa formula?
