Extracurriculars/ Achievements:
Art: - I have been named best 7th grade artist in a local art competition.
- I have received an honorable mention (top five) in an international art competition with over 50,000 submissions.
- Teachers have asked me to create artwork for the school such as playbills, flyers, and summer reading covers.
- My artwork was chosen twice for the school's permanent art collection.
- One of my paintings was selected to appear in the Chronicle of the Horse magazine.
- A lot of my artwork has been selected to appear in school newspapers.
- I won second place in a magazine cover art contest.
- I was a part of this charity called "Kids Helping Kids" and created artwork that was put up for sale and these profits went to foster poverty-stricken children.
- I submitted an art portfolio to Lawrenceville and they said that they already gave it to the head of the art department.

Writing:
- I won a Gold Key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Contest last year for my short story.
- I am also one of the main editors of my school's middle school newspaper.

Homework Helpers:
- This is a teacher recommended position. I help kids with homework, especially with analyzing literature.

Yearbook Committee:
- Again, also one of the main editors.

Piano:
- I have been playing for the past eight years.
- I have played at Carnegie Hall twice from winning competitions.
- I have gotten all distinctions (highest ranking) for ABRSM Theory Grades 1-5.
- I have completed ABRSM Piano Grade 7. This is basically a program to become a professional pianist. The last level in Grade 8 and I will be taking this next fall.

Interview:
I think that it did go well. The interviewer said that I was a bright student several times to both my parents and me. She also said that I was articulate and had done my "homework" for the school, meaning I knew what the school was about and what it had to offer.

Teacher Recommendations:
I think that these will all be good.

I do not need financial aid, and I am applying as a day student. Also, I know that Lawrenceville is a hard school to get into, and the interviewer told us that there are only about 35 seats for 9th grade girl day students. It is known that about ten students (boys and girls) from my school go to Lawrenceville for high school and at last twenty apply. Please tell me what you honestly think my chances are. Thank you so much!:)
