to be frank, there are tons of students exactly like you. your gpa is low, and being from the suburbs doesn’t help. SATiis are good and hopefully your SATis will be what you predicted. I don’t see anything special about your ECs.</p>

<p>also, what the hell is a “low ivy”? if you’re going to be using terms like that, i don’t think you should be applying to them. i think you have a shot at the schools you’ve listed, but should set your sights a little lower. maybe pick two and find a couple easier schools to get into. there are plenty of great schools that are easier to get into than the ones that you’ve listed. i don’t mean to discourage you, but i think you should just be more realistic.

<p>I know all this. And by ‘low ivy’ I mean not HYP, which are undoubtedly harder to get into than the rest of the ivies. All these schools are reaches for me. I will definitely be applying to some less selective schools, but I just wanted to see what kind of chance I had for some of the more competitive ones.</p>

<p>And to be honest, I’m really mostly interested in Berkeley as far as reaches go, I’m really interested in their Comp Sci program. </p>
