Chance me for LSA or CoE

I do not know which school to apply so chance me/help me out.

ACT: composite 30 & superscore 31
top scores--english (33) reading (32) math (33) science (27)

weighted GPA: 3.92

student council for 3 years, community service for four years including in peru, varsity soccer for 4 years & club soccer for all 4 years, member of the math and science club

out of state: california

and I am a girl who is partly Hispanic.

If I applied to CoE then I would talk about my love of Formula 1 and how that made me want to have a career as an engineer.

Thank you.

Your stats look good, if I were you I’d apply for dual enrollment that way if you don’t get into one school you might get into the other.

how do i apply dual enrollment on the common app? and if i have to choose one which one should i choose?

as a female I would apply to CoE if you can only pick one

and it’s hard to tell how good ur stats r because compare to all the EA people posting on here ur stats r nothing special. Your stats are good, just idk how they compare to the rest of the RD crowd

Female, URM, solid stats…I would apply to the CoE.

The internal transfer from COE to LSA is less difficult than the transfer from LSA to COE so I would apply to COE if you are not sure.

oh shiz… URM too? Geez, apply to CoE. You are probably over qualified

what is urm?
and thanks everyone for your input

is it bad that i only got a 27 for the science section?

URM = Under Represented Minority. If you go to Michigan you’ll find our they realm REALLY like diversity.

A 27 in science shouldn’t matter too much. Your 30 composite is ok, not bad not great, and CoE I believe only takes a special look at your Math score.

But it doesn’t matter. As an URM Female in CoE you are currently over qualified.

The “Science” section is not really science. I would not worry about it as it is possibly the least important section. Your 33 on the math and your 30 composite is sufficient. Your 3.92 GPA is weighed. What is your unweighed GPA? Michigan typicaly like 3.8+ unweighed GPAs.

URM is under represented minority. African, Hispanic and Native Americans are all considered URMs. Qualified URMs, which you are, are highly sought because they are under represented, especially a female…especially in the CoE.

Michigan would be a match.

any engineering program would be a match just about, haha
