First place at state science fair, second place in a medical research writing competition, internship at UMASS Medical School, 100+ volunteer hours in a first grade ESL classroom, summer job teaching sailing at a camp, class secretary for junior and senior years, president of the science club for one year, four publications, and a few awards from sailing races.</p>
<p>McGil doesn’t look at ECs, only grades and test scores. They also don’t look at you grade 9 grades, only 10-12. Also remember those are grade MINIMUMS, not averages- aka the lowest applicants last year who got in off the wait-list. With a score near the minimum in one area you will need higher scores in other areas to compensate, an applicant with minimal scores in all of the areas will most likely not be sucessfull.</p>
