Essays: 9/10. I focus on my ambition for inventing a generator that uses manipulated ferromagnetic fields to produce clean energy using zero input forces.

Course Rigor:
My school doesn’t have a lot of advanced classes. My recommenders and I stressed in the application that I took the most advanced classes available. Took Honors Physics, AP English, AP History in junior year. Taking AP Chemistry and AP Lit in senior year. No calculus classes…

Misc Info: I’m an Indian male. My second choice is ECE.

I’m only a Junior in high school, so this is just based off of my personal opinion chance, but I just want to say that I think your essay will help you a lot. That’s awesome that you are ambitious and know exactly what you want to do, and it applies to mechanical engineering. With that SAT score and the fact that you are valedictorian. If you’re from Texas I have no doubt that you’ll get in, if you’re from out of state then I’d say like an 80% chance or something. My school doesn’t rank either, but if you know that you are the valedictorian, can’t you just say that your rank is 1/14?

^i’d second what @pschnee said… if you are OOS then the chance of you being admitted is very slim due to your SAT. Texas, then maybe UGS then you can transfer into Cockrell. It is extremely competitive
