Anyone? sd

Are you seriously only applying to those schools? I hate to break it to you, but you’re in for a bitter disappointment, if that’s the case. You’re coming from an unranked, tier 2 university with a 32 MCAT. None of these institutions are certain even for a candidate from a top 20 with a 40+ MCAT. Apply to state schools. One or two should take you.

Are you kidding me? The average MCAT for Harvard is 33.

When I applied to medical school I applied to 21 schools and was accepted at just one, Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia which is now Drexel University School of Medicine. I had a 3.65 GPA and a 31 on the MCAT. I had graduated with a BS in Astronomy from the University of Maryland College Park. It is true your GPA and MCAT scores are slightly better than mine and your undergraduate major would normally be considered more relevant to medicine than mine but UMCP is rated as one of the top universities in the country for Physics and Astronomy.

Your statistics will probably get you into some medical school even though acceptance to any medical school is by no means a sure thing whatever your GPA and MCAT scores are. Only about one third of applicants to medical schools receive any offers of admission. While your statistics are competitive for most medical schools, only applying to four of the most selective medical schools in the country is a foolish strategy for anybody no matter what your college GPA and MCAT scores are and if you really want to be called “Doctor” someday you would be well served to cast a much broader net and be happy to go to any medical school that accepts you. I know that I was.
