Chance me for Michigan EA

UW GPA: 3.95 W: 4.38 Rank: 7/316 10APs (School makes it very hard to take APs in Freshman/Sophomore Year, so have 9 honors instead)

Intended Major: Math/Econ

In addition, my mother attended UMich, so I’m legacy.

Great scores! The questions you will have to ask yourself:…how well did I convey that I have matched my area of study to their programs, and what unique quality do I bring to Michigan that other OOS students do not? Those will be the weighty factors for you in EA since many applications share stellar stats but dissimilar stories. Best of luck!

Go Blue!

Your chance is much higher than average OOS applicants. Good luck.

Does legacy help at UMich?

Yes, it helps slightly.

Nice to hear about the legacy. And @098123Student I believe I conveyed well how the excellence of their math and econ programs will help me succeed and how I value the ability of LSA to give me a well-rounded education.

@collegethrowaway3473 Great! When evaluating your essay, think about the other side of the equation too: What did I tell them I have to offer in return? What do I bring to their student body that others may not? How will I impact the math/econ LSA programs? What footprint do I intend to leave?

Hey man, you have a super solid application. Even though you are applying OOS, I would say that you are among the top applicants. Best of luck and go blue, we are so close to decisions!
