Chance me for Milton, Nobles, Belmont Hill?

Hi everyone this is my first post on CC and it looks like a great website with many good people. This is kind of long but please chance me... Thank You

I am an 8th grade male applying to Milton Academy, Noble and Greenough, and Belmont Hill for 9th grade.

I've taken my SSAT twice.
The first one, I got
VERBAL: 90 percentile
MATH: 54 Percentile
READING: 84 percentile
OVERALL: 80 percentile

the reason i got so low in math was because I skipped 11 questions in total and really should have guessed. I re-took the SSAT and then received slightly better scores.

VERBAL: 85
MATH: 86
READING: 77
OVERALL: 86

In this one, after coming out of the test, i thought i did terrible. but i got mediocre scores on math and verbal then not-so-good on reading. this test was harder then the first.

So for interviews...

Milton- I thought went OK. this was my first interview so i was a little nervous. We started speaking and i slowly loosened up a bit. we spoke a lot about sports and extra-cirriculars. i also told him about how over the summer i did community service through my school to raise awareness for illiteracy. I also told him about how i recently got a tutoring job through my math teacher. i was selected to tutor a 5th grader at our school who needed help with math. i told him that i accepted the job and donated half of the earnings i raised to UNICEF. he seemed pretty impressed with that. then we kind of went off on a tangent and talked about sports i was interested in. about 10 minutes of the interview was spent on sports and what Milton has to offer. It was a really loose interview but coming out of it, i thought that i should have spoken about my academic interests at milton more than i did.

Nobles- this was my 2nd interview. I was slightly more prepared for this one because of my first interview at milton. this one went really well and i did everything i did in the first but with a lot more confidence. Also, i added a lot more about my academic interests and how i participate in a high school level geometry class in addition to my advanced algebra 1 class. I also spoke about my debate+public speaking class. also, i threw in a lot of "i think Nobles would be a great fit for me".. At the end, my interviewer said that she got a really good idea of my personality. Later, she told my dad, when interviewing him, that i sounded like a good kid who makes friends easily.

Belmont- Haven't Had my interview yet.

so now for my EC's

I was elected Treasurer of my Public Speaking Class that is extracurricular because it is a club outside of school

participate in EC math class every saturday which teaches me advanced subjects.

soccer- 9 years
skiing-8 years
snowboarding- 2 years
tennis- 6 years
basketball-3 years
flag football- 4 years

i can fully understand hindi but only get along speaking it. (hindi is an indian language)

Both my parents are from india but i was born and raised in America.

English is my first language.

I can speak pretty good french. i participated and placed 10th in a national competition through my school in french.

also, i take latin through my school and placed 5th in a latin competition.

Grades:
overall straight A/A- with the occasional B+

Last year, for english, I got for the first term a C+ then the next term i got a B then the final term i got an A.

RECS:

I think i received solid recommendations from my math teacher. she was the one that nominated me to be the tutor for the 5th grader. She also seemed impressed that i am donating half of my earnings to UNICEF.

I also think i got great recommendations from my science teacher. She has only had me for one year but i think she likes me as a student. before taking a test i missed because of an interview, she asked me what my first choice school was.. to which i replied NOBLES. she said, i think you have a good shot there but i feel like you will do really well anywhere you go. this hints she may have written a good rec for nobles but ya never know.

English: This rec is pretty good i guess nothing really extra to add here.

no rec from history..

sorry this is so long but i am kinda nervous about if i will get into any of these top schools. i am also applying to 3 other non-top schools that are local. i may go there if i dont get accepted to these 3.

Please Chance me. Thank You.

You seem like a pretty strong candidate. You seem to have a solid ECs. I do not know about Milton as it is one of the most competitive schools to get in, but for other schools especially the second one (sorry, I don’t know how competitive that school is) my hunch is you can get in. As for the Milton, if some of your ECs have more concrete ‘achievement’ in depth than expressed here and were explained well during the interview, you will look better. I wish you will post a good news later.

Thanks patronyork… I am kind of nervous but i will be sure to post where i get in on March 10
