<p>Half Japanese, half Caucasian male from Utah. Currently Junior year, set to graduate 2014. </p>

<p>35 ACT w/ 9 writing in the summer between Soph and Junior year.
2160 SAT from the Oct. 2012 SAT. Can retake between now and Sr. year.
Math 800
CR 670
Writing 690, 71 MC, 8 Essay
800 Math II Subject test
770 US History Subject test</p>

<p>4.0 GPA unweighted
On track for a full IB diploma
Two AP tests taken last year, Art History, APUSH, both 5s.</p>

<p>This year, taking:
IB English HL1 (debating if I should take the AP English test. Most colleges don't accept credit hours for both AP English and IB English HL2, just higher of the 2), ----HL2 next year
Spanish AP/IB SL ----HL next year.
IB Economics (not taking the AP test)
Calculus AP/IB, AB/BC, ----AP/IB Stats next year. Taking SL
European History AP/IB HL1, ----HL2 next year.
Biology AP/IB, ----HL2 next year.

<p>My school abolished class ranks because the district refused to weight AP, IB or Honors courses over core courses. However, with a 4.0, I would be at class rank 1 regardless. </p>

<p>Extracurricular:
Will have 150 CAS hours by the end of Sr. year.

Host japanese exchange students</p>

<p>Some of my AP teachers are known for writing pretty good reccomendations.</p>

<p>Rate me for MIT, or really any other A- or A school with possibly a good engineering program. I'm interested in architecture...I think.</p>

<p>While I’d kill for your GPA, MIT is a reach for you, due to the crazy ECs of most of the students who get in (TASP, RSI, Siemens, Intel, USAMO, AIME, USAPHO), unfortunately. I’d say it’ll come down to your essays. Ohh – no need to retake the SAT, just send your ACT.</p>
