Chance me for MIT

Hi, I really nervous I’m over estimating my college choices so I’d love to hear your feedback.

Public school of 3000+ students but we sent around 15 to top 20 each year

Engineering intern at small international company, CAD modeled, designed, and led small projects in warehouse
Competitive MIT program for entrepreneurship 12% acceptance, co-founded tech startup using CV for 3d printers, lead coder, we haven’t sold much but we have a network and a few partnerships
Was in scholastic bowl, XC, and marching band each for a year

MAKER Portfolio: Self taught coding, CAD, and circuit design. I build and sell 3d printers and tinker a lot with them, VR projects, Arduino, coding, pretty big mech projects, they’re not hooks but they show a deep interest in engineering and collectively kinda tell a story

Essays-Im not great at writing, but I put a lot of time in, maybe 8.5/10
Interview-I thought it went well, it went long ~100 min
Recs- Both teacher like me, one is my frisbee coach, my counselor loves me, optional rec from an MIT alum who lectures at MIT

Reach-Mit, Stanford, Berkeley
Target-Michigan, Gtech
Safety-Purdue, U of I

Thanks

You have good shot for mit, but of course it’s a reach for everyone, but your stats seem to be very great. Chance m e back please

Yo another Launchie! I did Launch in 2015 and loved it. Did you apply EA? Best of luck

Assuming that you are in-state for Purdue and U of I and that you have run the NPCs are are okay with the results, my guess is that your rankings into reach, target, and safety are pretty much correct. It also looks to me that you are applying to a good range of schools. Good luck!

Yeah EA, just waiting now

@APIL105 we seem pretty similar. I’m a junior hoping to get in next year. My test scores and ec’s are so far so good, my gpa is meh, but I should conclude all with great recs and essays. Let us know if you get in!
