Any feedback or advice would be great! Thanks!

You need to show some interest in engineering; your program area does NOT help you with a field such as this. Perhaps an engineering-related EC? Also, forget engineering if your score on the SAT math section is anything below 700. Engineering = math intensive.
My advice: show genuine interest in engineering score above a 700 on the math section. Right now, I’d say your chances are not good.

Edit: The calc and physics help. 4’s or 5’s on the exams could significantly improve your chances.:)

Oh trust me, I am so tired of my hospitality program, I was previously in the Web Design program at my school but moved because of my interest in travel, tourism and transportation while trying to get some real life skills in business and marketing but my junior year has went a complete other direction (for the worst) and I’m just waiting to graduate out of the program at this point. Ever since 7th grade I’ve been dead set on civil engineering since I want to build the country’s infrastructure which somewhat connects to my travel, tourism, transportation interest. I thought basically anyone can go for engineering as long as they have the math and science oriented mind for it. A 700 on any of the SATs is a very high goal that i bet 80%+ cannot reach and what I’ve seen with some of the lower colleges/universities is that you can get into their engineering program as long as you make their bare GPA requirements. I’m know for a fact that the engineering college at UNLV is open to me since I’m automatically admitted since I’m headed for the CCSD Advanced Honors Diploma. I guess what I’m looking for is my chances of admission to these specific schools…

I suppose you chances are good, though wouldn’t you rather strive for something greater? Trust me, there will be PLENTY of infastructural projects in the coming decades; those jobs will be going to the most skilled civic engineers, not those that “make [the] bare GPA requirements.” Also, 700+ is not that high of a goal; my 650 is worrying me and I’m hoping to major in biological sciences! Then again, we will be applying to vastly different colleges. All I can say is good luck on the SAT and with saving this nation’s DECREPIT infastructure. :)

Thanks! That’s what I hope to accomplish with help (engineers almost always work in teams haha). One big thing i forgot to mention is that UNR is hosting a transportation engineering camp this july and is free if you are selected and I’m finishing up my essay and recommendation so i guess that’s some EC i can include. I also hope to get my required hospitality internship at a civil engineering firm here in Las Vegas since i want to avoid working for a hotel as much as possible

You might want to bring up your Math score!
