Waos.

I’m confident you can get in, but I’m warning you about NYU’s financial aid. Even the packages they provide for low income students get rather stingy. Plan to apply to a ton of merit-based scholarships if you’re determined to attend Stern.

Yeah… NYU is mean ):. Do you think applying ED will help? @AnEpicIndian

I think applying ED is a huge risk with your income bracket. But if you are admitted and truly can’t afford it, you can back out of the offer.

Wow ):. Do you have any historical data on what students usually receive? @AnEpicIndian

Are you freaking kiddding me NYU, 74k for the school I want. And 93k for graduate school ): Dreams and hardwork slowly being crushed.

Went on an NYU tour the other day, they said if you have low income do not early decision. They’re financial packages are terrible and they increase tuition every year.

Omg T_T. Dreams have been officially crushed. This sucks so much. I love NYU so much. I love its diversity, beliefs, curriculum, people, everything! It’s a great liberal school. I worked my butt off for this chance, and now it’s lost. I want to apply for merit aid, but my stat sucks compared to other applicants (2200+ SAT Scores and Insane EC).

Suggestions for other schools are highly appreciated. What about Northeastern, BC, etc?

:o

I would be very leary of applying ED. Also, I thinky our CR has to be increased. Stern ( I have heard from others ont he internet as well as current students) are mostly concerned with your composite SAT score out of 1600. Although they will probably consider your writing score, CR+M are king. Also since they receive so many asian applicants your fit the stereotype of having a low CR. I am just trying to help. YOu still could very well be accepted though, because it seems that you have mostly everything else in order. Good luck!

I just read your your memo about retesting. If you can get 700+ in CR I am positive you will have a very good shot.

Sorry for posting again. Also get the 800 in the Math 2 subject test as well as a 700 plus on a second test.

@dc3225 You don’t need NYU so don’t fall in love. You have a great profile and there are many much more generous schools out there.

I don’t quite get the love affair with this school.
