my dad went here for masters, so does that mean i get legacy?
also i wont be requesting financial aid, does that benefit my application in any way?

applying for computer engineering or computer science

I’d say you have a good shot. The fact that you will not be applying for aid will probably enhance your chances since I don’t believe Santa Clara is need-blind (I could be wrong). Keep your grades up and write a good essay!

The answer is yes and no. You are judged for that specific program, but I don’t think it is much harder. Transferring after admission into the business school is very difficult – the school is already slightly oversubscribed. My best guess is that this is not the case with engineering, but you should just ask an admissions counselor.

Sorry to spam this topic, but I missed gawdzillah’s post about CE/CS. There are three computer oriented majors at Santa Clara: computer science through Arts & Sciences, operations and management information systems through Leavey (Business) and computer engineering through Engineering.
