<p>The URM can help - but not if you're well below the 25th percentile of applicants on the SAT. I would suggest retaking the SAT 1. Do you have any safety schools?</p>
<p>i think if you bring up your sat score to maybe the 2100+ range, it would increase your chances a lot for the more selective schools on your list.</p>
<p>First of all... try bringing your SAT or ACT up, and it would help you SO MUCH, for right now, that's your primary weak point for a lot of these colleges. I like a lot of your ECs (especially the ones where your the leader), but you should try to get a few more, and a few more leadership positions. Also, I'm assuming you live in CA. That being said, I feel your chances are:</p>
