Georgia PTA State award(2nd place) for Music composition
NLE Awards, magna cum laude and maxima cum laude
National Etymology Exam Bronze Medal
Music Technology student of the year at my school</p>

<p>ECS:
2 Year head coach and still coaching for my church's sunday school soccer team
In 5 seasons(tournaments), we only had 1 last place and the rest either 1st or 2nd out of 4 teams in every season.
6 years praise team member for my church and praise team leader for english ministry
1 summer of Teacher Assisstant at a local korean school freshman year
2 seasons of recreational soccer at local soccer club
1 summer of non-paid internship at radio/tv station during junior year</p>

<p>Essays:
The main common app one was about when I was testing for my black belt in Taekwondo and I failed the test, preventing me from getting the black belt. Talked about how it taught me self-confidence. Teachers told me it was great. </p>

<p>Recs: I'm assuming they are good. One of the recs I received was from my music technology teacher at my high school that I had for about 3 years</p>

<p>I already applied to NYU and I'm anxiously waiting for the decision, but I'm wondering if I have a shot at the other schools I want to apply to.</p>

<p>I disagree that Oxford is a reach, I believe they are confusing it with the one in England. Now I do believe that Emory college might be a slight reach given your 1310 SAT but Oxford college is less selective than Emory College so I would say you have a much better chance at Oxford especially if you apply ED2 (although I’m unsure how much more competitive ED1 is from ED2). All that being said I think your course rigor hasn’t been addressed and that really counteracts the minor damages to your GPA so I think that you would be a competitive candidate for both Emory and Oxford with an edge to acceptance to Oxford in my honest opinion. Good luck applying! I also applied ED1 to Emory so if you could chance me back I’d greatly appreciate it!</p>
