After just doing my application, honestly, just apply. You’ll know your chances when you hear back from them. Select a few lower tier schools just in case. SJSU has a very strong computer science program (and very competitive), as well as great athletics if you want to pursue that avenue as well.
Averages for all enrolled freshmen at UW in 2018 were 3.8 unweighted GPA, 29 ACT, 684 M SAT, 647 R&W SAT. So, your stats match up well with last year’s entering class.
For direct admission to CS, the last stats I saw were from 2017, when the CS website stated: “For 2017, over 5,000 freshmen applicants indicated Computer Science or Computer Engineering as their first choice major. Of these applicants, around 150 students were offered direct admission. These admits have an average unweighted gpa of 3.97 and are mostly Washington state residents. Average test scores are: ACT 34, SAT math 764, SAT verbal 758."
It will be interesting to see how the expanded direct admission to CS affects these statistics for 2019.
