Chance me for NB? I just got scared by this board

First off, I am in-state, so that's helpful.

GPA: ~3.55, no AP/Honors but next year (senior year) I am taking AP Microeconomics.

SATs: 1980 superscore with 650 CR, 710 M and 620 W.

EC's: A few clubs and varsity baseball, nothing spectacular like starting a homeless shelter in my city.

I want to major in Business, most likely Economics. I just want to know which school to apply to and my likelihood of being accepted.

I also MIGHT retake the SATs in October, I MIGHT take the ACT, or I might not do anything. I thought a 1980 would get me into RU:NB for sure but I'm kind of scared right now haha.

Before reading a few posts on this board I though that Rutgers might be a safety for me but now I'm pretty worried haha.

I appreciate any insight whatsoever.

You'll most likely get into SAS.

You're in. I got into SAS and school of engineering with a 3.1 weighted gpa and 700 M, 660 CR, 580 W SAT. I took a lof of aps though, but you will def get in. Rutgers is a safety for u.

Since you're in state you should be fine for SAS. I know it might be hard, but don't worry. :)

Alright, I'm kind of confused. I went on the Rutgers website and I'm looking at the majors you can take at SAS and Finance is listed as one, but it's listed in the Rutgers Business School department and it says it requires competitive admission. So what exactly does that mean? I can major in that without applying to the Rutgers Business School? Sorry, I'm confused haha.

Finance degrees are conferred by the School of Business. People interested in that, and any business degree, first apply to SAS. You spend two years in SAS taking basics like econ, math, accounting, gen ed. You apply to the Business School in your sophomore year and finish your last two years there.

I'm 125% you'll get into SAS

Oh alright, thanks a lot for clearing that up rebelliousduck.

And haha thanks for the assurance Dan, but I always try to be a little pessimistic about these kinda things so I'm not too horribly let down if I get denied by them haha.
