My gpa isn't the most outstanding but it has shown an upward trend and I've improved academically and personally since my underclassmen years. If I'm not the ideal match, how can I improve my chances? Any advice would be lovely. Thanks in advance :)

Your GPA is a bit low and so is your SAT for SU. You may want to take the ACT again and try to get 30+ and apply ED. You may also want to take a look at the highly rated University of Missouri School of Journalism where you would be automatically admitted with your ACT score.

Hello kaykaye3!

I am currently freshman at Newhouse, concidentally a PR major! I have just gone through the college admissions process, and after looking at your credentials, I would say that you are very qualified. I had a lower ACT score than you (26), albeit a higher GPA, and your club participation and class rigor seems very comparable to me. I think you should apply, I didn’t apply ED like the person above is reccomending, and with similar credentials I was accepted right into Newhouse regular decision. You should apply and attend! It’s very cool. Let me know if you have any questions
