Chance Me For Northeastern! Chancing back!

Hello!! I just wanted to share all my scores and activities to see if you think I'll get into Northeastern University. I applied Early Decision!

GPA: 89.57/100
ACT: 29 (super scored) 28 (not super scored)

I think it would be stupid to list all the classes I've taken since freshman year, so I'll just post the challenging (honors, ap, etc..) from each year. Basically every year I have taken an english, social studies, science, and a math. 9th-10th I took french but I then dropped to take more science classes.

Freshman: none
- got mostly high 80s low 90s

Sophomore: none
-mostly mid to high 90s

Junior: Chemistry Honors, AP Literature, Marine Biology, Anatomy and Physiology
- all low and mid 90s

Senior: AP Biology, AP Macroeconomics, Honors Modern American culture.
-anywhere from low 80s to high 90s
-I actually take CP physics also, so that two lab sciences
- Modern American Culture is a double period class

I feel my grades and difficulty show a pretty strong upward trend. Though some grades went down, I started taking more challenging classes so that was to be expected.

Extra Curricular's:
- Officer of Invisible Children club (4 yrs, still doing now)
- Member of Relay for Life (4 yrs, still doing now)

- Member of Improv Club (1yr, still doing now)

A couple personal details:
- my mom did not attend college
- my mom is deceased (when I was 11)
- I come from a single income household-- father currently unemployed
-I come from a single parent household
- my brother attends Syracuse University
- my father attend Boston University

I have only applied to NEU and UVM, and have already been accepted to UVM. I also plan on applying to BU, the GW, Syracuse, Gettysburg, and Elon. Obviously NEU is first choice though!

Please let me know what you think! I should hear back in about a week! And please don't be mean if you think I have no chance. Thank you :)

This is very strange…I’m also applying to Northeastern U, BU, GW, Syracuse, Gettysburg and Elon. I saw a guy tell you something about the middle 50% for accepted freshman act scores being a bit higher than yours in one of your previous threads. Although that may be true applying ED will definitely help you because it’s the ultimate sign of demonstrated interest.

Best of luck!

You look like a pretty good candidate for a college like Northeastern. Ill rate it a high match. My advice: Apply early decision.
^First sentence says applied Early Decision. Makes me wonder if you actually read it

Hmm… Honestly, you may want to have a safety school in there. The act is kind of lowish, and your leadership is not huge. One good thing is you’ve done a lot of work, hope you really plugged that in your essay. My son also applied to Northeastern, EA. I won’t tell you his stats, would depress you. Elon is an incredible school. My two older kids went there and LOVED it. My youngest didn’t apply because he wants a new school. BUT, Elon is so beautiful, and a great school.

My safety school was UVM, and I have been accepted, like I said in my post!

The middle ACT is a 31. The low end is 30, high is 33. I think your test scores are under average and unfortunately your GPA isn’t good enough to counteract this. BU, you’ll probably get into because of legacy and background. Syracuse you look great for! Gettysburg-yes. GW-yes! Elon, probably just I think its very different from your other schools. If you havent visited I wouldn’t chose this, because the culture is the complete opposite of BU, Syracuse, and NE.

Gettysburg and Elon seemed similar in my opinion
