Chance me for Northwestern Transfer

Hey everyone! So I am currently a freshman at Indiana University looking to study either Finance or Economic Consulting here at Kelley, which for those of you that don’t know, is a top-ranked undergraduate business school which is quite distinct here from the rest of Indiana University. However, while I enjoy the curriculum and teachers, I have come to find that Indiana University just isn’t the best for my personal growth nor my interests!

I have visited Northwestern twice now and have fallen completely in love. The community at NU is so passionate in every one of their fields and brings back the feeling of excitement I first had when going through the college application.

Here are some of my stats but I will respond to all further questions!

Major: Economics/Consulting/Finance
HS GPA: 3.89/4.0
HS Curriculum: Essentially all honors/9 APs.
ACT: 32
College GPA: 3.91
College/HS Extracurriculars: PGN Business Fraternity Member, Economics Club, DECA Business Club, Varsity Volleyball
Personal Hook: I have a personal e-commerce business where I have sold over 200+ sneakers and apparel all over the world, even selling to Ian Connor, the previous personal fashion designer for Kanye West, and great friend of ASAP Rocky. I have done this for around five years now and I owe a large majority of my passion for business as a result of my company.
Recommendations: One from Informatics professor, another from Business Ethics professor.
Ethnicity: Hispanic/American

Transferring to Northwestern University for economics from direct admission at IU-Kelley might be risky as economics is a tough major at NU & you risk getting weeded out.

Expect to compete at a higher level if you do make the move.

Thanks for the response! @Publisher I defintely understand the depth of curriculum both at NU and their economics major. Part of my reason to transfer is because I need something challenging. My college GPA above was what I predicted I would have, however, now in my fourth and final quarter I have a 4.0 and haven’t been challenged to my liking, even with notorious weed out classes here.

Northwestern should place better into MC & IB than IU . Kellogg places best into MC, but certainly places into IB as well.

Thank you for the information! @Publisher
