I'd love some chances, or recommendations. I'd hopefully like to stay in the Midwest. Thanks!

Also I forgot to mention that for the purposes of AA, I’m a white female.

And I forgot to mention that I’ve been Vice President of my class four years

Very impressive resume.

Northwestern is probably a high match with your stats. If you apply ED where the acceptance rate is over 30%, you will have a great shot.

UChicago is still probably a reach (it is for anyone). You’re on the low range of their SATs, and their overall acceptance rate this year will be about 7%. Even the EA acceptance rate was under 12% this year, so it’s really difficult for anyone.

I would recommend ED’ing to Northwestern if you’re sure that’s where you would like to go. It will really optimize your chances of going to a good school.

For Northwestern, I’d say you have a very real shot. For UChicago, no one has a real shot - you need to impress them with your essays and overall fit. They’re both great schools and you seem to be quite the qualified candidate. I’d suggest applying EA to Chicago (it’s non-binding) and ED to Northwestern (like phuriku mentioned). This’ll dramatically increase yoour chances of getting in.

Northwestern High Match
UChicago- High Match to Low Reach

Best of luck to you :D

“I’m a white female.” This has long been an area of deficiency at Chicago. Also remember that Chicago is artificially driving up application numbers with its solicitations to apply.

OP’s chances are at least as good at Chicago as at NU.

You have a great chance at both!

NW: Decent chances
Chicago: Reach (for everyone)

NW: definitely a match
Chicago: reach but that’s just because it’s one for everyone

Thank you all for the chances! Northwestern is my first choice, so I am excited about my chances there. :slight_smile: I wouldn’t apply ED though, I need too much aid ;o;

Are you a junior or a senior?
