chance me for Northwestern University, University of North Carolina chapel hill, George Washington,

I do have financial need but I am okay with loans if the school is good enough. Bu as in Boston? @Ctesiphon‌

Yes, as in Boston University.

I don’t think that is a good mindset - taking out loans to cover the full cost. You are going into a field that is not very lucrative. Broadcast journalism majors typically do not make very much money and the chances are slim you will “make it big” even from a ‘big-name’ school.

What’s your family’s yearly income? Keep in mind that outside of the 5.5k/yr Federal loans the first two years, and 7.5k/yr loans second two years, you will have to take them out through a third party with your parents cosigning.

My family’s yearly income is 130k. What is south Carolina’s broadcast journalism like in comparison to the top schools? UF vs USC ? @Ctesiphon‌

I don’t know much about the programs at those particular schools, unfortunately.

With 130k income you prob won’t be getting much aid at privates. You are instate for south carolina correct? If so, USC is probably your best bet !

Nope I live in Florida… @Ctesiphon‌

I don’t know “how good” USC’s Broadcast Journalism is - not sure if there are rankings or not. I do know two kids that are in the program and like it. They both had similar GPA to yours and had over 30’s on their ACT’s - so smart kids. One is in Honors and one is on Capstone.

UF has a very good Broadcast Journalism program. Since it’s in-state, you should apply.
