Final Notes:

I have a pretty good hook on engineering, since we're inventing something this year as a year long project. It makes my essays very passionate and interesting.

Schools: GA Tech, Notre Dame(favorite), Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Tulane, and possibly Rice. Pretty much all EA, no ED

I will chance back!

I dont know if you will actually make it in, unless you saved an African nation from starvation I dont think you can get in

It’s not impossible, but it would take a great essay/interview/rec. Just a lot of subjective things.

I would say definitely in for ND. Notre Dame isn’t that hard to get into, and neither is Northwestern (I might be jaded, but I have seen too many students get into Northwestern to think it is selective, and ND has taken some students with less impressive stats). Vanderbilt is in too, I’d say, because of ACT score. I heard somewhere that ND puts a lot of weight on ECs, especially sports, so I’d include honors you have received in sports as well as the Championship stuff.

Good luck!

I disagree with Notre Dame having easy admissions. We have a family friend who grew up going to Catholic schools, competed in Irish dance at a national and international level, had a 4.0 and a 2160 SAT. Rejected Nd, and get this…accepted to Harvard! Your stats look very good, though. That 35 ACT is great. We visited ND this summer and were blown away by how beautiful the campus was. Best of luck to you!!

You’re in. :)

bump10char

But you have to understand. Harvard is a much better school then Notre Dame. I know too many people who got rejected from cornell but accepted into Notre Dame. Anyway Duke is better then Notre Dame as well.

I’d say you’re in. Just make sure you’ve got a stellar essay. =]

I think you’ve got very strong chances for Notre Dame ED. All sections of your SAT are within the 50th precentile for ND…and even better ACT scores! GPA and rank are solid. And ECs aren’t lacking by any means.
As for the rest:
GA Tech - in
Vanderbilt - low match
Northwestern - match
Tulane - in
Rice - match
You’re looking pretty solid at every school. Good luck!
