[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: Common App essay and EC essay are good. Supplements are good but sort of plain. I just tried to answer their questions completely while I went for creativity on the main common app essay. My organization of ideas was very good.
[] ECs:
Notables: Founder/Leader of a Media Team at a community service center over 650 hours logged for four years, cashier at a big grocery store chain for a year, team america rocket competition member for two years and a leader for a year, internship at an animal hospital for a year and first alto saxophone in a great band program for three years.
Others include NHS, Key club, math team; the less significant clubs. I also went to a biomedical research academy at UPenn for the summer and received a great recommendation letter from that program, I went to Mexico to help out orphans for a week the summer before.
[] Teacher Recs: One should be great, the other should be good.
[] Counselor Rec: Good, I got to know my counselor very well out of all the students he has although he is pretty lazy so I'm not totally sure.
[/ul]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: Virginia (Fairfax)
[] School Type: Competitive, was in the 50s in rankings for high schools
[] Ethnicity: Asian American
[li] Gender: Male[/li][/ul]Other Factors: National Merit Semi-Finalist, AP Scholar with Honors, Nartek Bronze Award.
General Comments: I had an extremely weak freshman and sophomore year as I had just moved to a new area and was not very focused on my schoolwork. I realize that it will greatly impact my chances and I am worried that it will be my biggest obstacle in admissions. I have changed greatly and I expect no other than straight As (one A- maybe because my AP government teacher is crazy). I outlined my reasons for my change in the additional information section on the common app.

Let me know what you guys think! Let me know if I should add anything as well. Explanations and advice are welcome :)
