I am a high school student ( about to become a senior ) and really screwed up my junior year gpa (2.9) including my first ever D,which brought my cumulative down to (3.1)
1840 on my Sat (690 cr, 620 math, 530 essay)

My EC's are 1 year football
2 years golf
4 years science club ( 1 as treasurer 1 as president )
100 hours hours community service ( a breast cancer haunted house)
4 years first robotics ( 1 as a lead, confounding a new team this year)

I would like to go to business school in New York and am wondering which of these are reasonable or what's completely out of reach
1. NYU
2. Fordham
3. Baruch
4. Long Island
5. Pace

I would like to get into investment banking and would appreciate any feedback on other schools, transfer opportunities etc.

Unfortunately I think NYU, Fordham, and Baruch are out of reach. You have a better chance at Long Island and Pace.

uh, NYU and fordham is definitely out of reach with that SAT and GPA. Baruch, you have a chance but not guaranteed because CUNY admissions have been very competitive.
You should be able to make it in to Pace and LIU with no problem.

Also, just know that money and statistics aren’t everything. I wish someone would’ve told me that. A lot of students get caught up in the hype about brand name schools. Try to get the best education that you can, and if it wasn’t the school of your dreams… Well, make the college that you get accepted to your dream school. Titles mean nothing. Goals, however are beautiful. If you can’t reach the high ones, reach the low ones. God bless.

Well when it comes to business, it’s important to have some prestige. NYU has so much better connections and opportunities than the other ones mentioned but of course it all depends on you and what you make it like what saye329 said.

Is Fordham really that out of reach? Its my dream school and the although the college board gpa looks bad the cappex scattergram made me look like a 50/50? What would the transfer opportunities look like if i went to LIU, Pace, or Baruch?
