Chance me for NYU and maybe scholarships??

Hello, my mom really wants me to apply to a reach school even though we can’t afford it(lol) so here it goes:
-I Go to a competitive private high school in Pennsylvania.

-My high school has a weird grading scale (100-93 is an a, 92-85 is b etc.)

  • Uw gpa:~3.7 ish, weighted is 4.64 (my school only submits weighted on transcript, and even though they don’t submit rank, I’m in roughly the top 18%)

-Highest composite act is 31, 32 superscored.

Extracurriculars:
9th grade:

  • helping kids with disabilities play sports(didn’t add name for private reasons)
-I played freshman football(not sure if I would add this because it only happened freshman year)
  • I have worked a job since I was 14.
-I made high honors at my school both semesters.
    -humane society volunteering

10th grade:
-ski club
-JOb
-helping kids with sports
-I began volunteering at a hospital in the beginning of the year
-I worked with a family friend on a political campaign
-high honors again both semesters.
-humane society volunteering
Summer:
-Went to Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week
-My brother and I started a landscaping “business”(not sure if I would put this)

11th grade:
-ski club
-job- promoted to “entry-level manager”
-hospital volunteering
-humane society volunteering
-FBLA- first time it happened at my school
-Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science(first place in regional, couldn’t go to states because of family stuff)
-joined Spanish club
-high honors both
-participated in the Brain Bee at Pitt
-joined National Honor Society

I realize that a lot of my activities are Pennsylvania based but I assume that won’t be too detrimental. Also, I know I lack leadership but I am trying to start a pre Med club at my school for the next year.
If it matters, I will probably apply to the school of individualized studies if I apply.
Thank you and I can chance back

Do I have a decent shot at getting in?

Your stats would not qualify you for merit aid at NYU and they are very stingy with need based aid.

I agree with @TomSrOfBoston . While you do have the possibility of getting accepted, there is very little chance of you getting merit aid, unfortunately.

Best of luck!
