Chance me for NYU (and others)?

GPA: 4.0 UW (Not sure about weighted but I've received A's in 5 AP classes)
Class Rank: 3rd (Have to check out of how many)
SAT: 2150 740 CR / 690 M / 720 W (Retaking again in the fall, aiming for a 2200+)
APs: Human Geo 5, World History 4, Chemistry, English Language and Composition, US History (latter 3 are pending but I'm confident they're within 4-5 range)
ECs: Art Club, Environmental Club, Volunteering Club, Asian Cultures Society, French Honor Society, Chinese Honor Society, Global Studies Honor Society, DECA
Volunteering: Local library, church, beach, various city events
Other: Part of school's global studies program, Scholastic Achievement Award, 2nd place in city-wide visual arts competition, art show participant, part of school's delegation to China this past spring, part-time job, NRF certified, accepted to competitive arts high school (but didn't attend because of commitment to school's global studies program)
Ethnicity: Asian (Viet)
EFC: 0
Out-of-state: Yes

I'm graduating this summer as a junior so I don't have a senior year course load. I plan on volunteering a lot this summer and using my year off to work and volunteer.

NYU is at the top of my list but I know it's unlikely to give me the financial aid I need. I'm also looking at the University of Washington, UVA, VCU, CUNY Hunter, and CUNY City College. Additional suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Bump!

You’re on target for all the schools on your list.

Chance me back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1662008-2-8-gpa-2000-first-time-sat-urm-umass-amherst-others-ea.html#latest

Thanks! I would but I’m not very knowledgeable about chancing, sorry!

You should get into all of them
chance-http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1663167-chance-business-major.html#latest

NYU- yea financial aid’s going to be tough-high match
University of Washington- reach, probably high
UVA- difficult if you’re not a sports star or in-state, mid-reach
CUNY Hunter SAFETY
CUNY City College SAFETY

What state are you from? Intended major? What region do you want to stay in? There are many good colleges out there.

My stats are similar to yours (except that insane GPA and impressive extra-curricular list)

Chance me back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1663581-my-chance-at-engineering-schools.html#latest

NYU- high match- again, financial aid is a toughie
UW- low reach
UVA- mid/high match
CUNY (both) safety

You might be underselling yourself, keep other reaches in mind. my chancing is really critical too, so have other reaches in mind maybe? Hope you do well on the SAT! Def prepare over the summer
