I WILL CHANCE BACK!!! =] and if you need more information, just tell me!

Definitely in at BU, Fordham, and Macaulay Honors, and I’d say low matches with Northeastern and Brandeis, probably 75-80% chance. If you’re applying to CAS at NYU, I would say that and Wesleyan are probably an even match. Obviously the Ivies will be the reaches and clearly, there is no way to give an accurate chance, but I wish you the best of luck. From what I can tell, you won’t be simply tossed aside in an ivy application pool, but I also don’t think you’ll have them on their knees for you, if that makes any sense. Best of luck!

Hey thanks, I appreciate your input!

Also, courseload:

AP Calc BC: 5
AP US History: 5
AP Compartive G/P: 5 (Self)
AP US G/P: 5 (Self)
AP World History: 5

Course this year: AP Micro, AP Macro, AP Stat, AP Spanish Lang, AP English Lit, AP Biology, Linnear Algebra/Calc 3 through local community college via HS, Two business courses through community college

Very impressive applicant as far as ECs go. You are ridiculously well-rounded and seem to have a fine appreciation for other cultures; the only issue may be some of your test scores (I absolutely abhor standardized testing), which are impressive, but not quite at the upper tier college level standards. Harvard, Brown are reaches, but I could definitely see you at UPenn. You seem very similar to some of my friends there. As for the other colleges, no problem  Good luck! Keep up the great work!

Bumpppp!!!

Harvard probably is a high reach, given your SAT score of 2160, which is not low.
UPen, Brown, both are a reach-or match.
Other universities are “no problem”

Your ec’s seem strong. SAT score extremely similar to me; maybe I’ll see you at NYU?
NYU, BU, and Brown are matches. Brown obviously being the hardest.
Harvard and UPenn are going to be extremely difficult. I’d say maybe 20% at best. Macaulay Honors (Hunter), Fordham (LC), Northeastern, Brandeis, and Wesleyan should all be acceptances. Perhaps one will turn you down.
Good luck!

Thanks! I just hope my low standardized test scores don’t hurt too much

You have very strong, broad, cultural ECs and adequate SAT scores. Only downsides might be the class rank (although they probably don’t really place much significance on that), and the lower SAT II score.

All-in-all, you’re a shoe in for BU, Fordham, MH, Brandeis and Wesleyan. NYU shouldn’t be that difficult. Brown and UPenn are both decent options (if slight reaches). Harvard is the only true high reach there. If you need percentages:

NYU: 85%
Brown: 65%
UPenn: 70%
Harvard: 40%

Harvard and Brown and such are reaches for almost everyone . . . the overwhelmiong majority of highly qualified applicants get a “no” from those schools.

Example: Brown rejects 80% of those with an 800 on CR, 83% of those with an 800 Math, 72% of those with a perfect 36 ACT, 81% of Valedictorians, 86% of Salutatorians, and 90% of those in the top 10%.

Your chances will be somewhat better due to your athletics and “depth in your breadth” . . . but realistically those schools are reaches for almost everyopne.

That said . . . Go For It.

Thanks! Hey, I get one shot. Why not?

Bump

u have a shot for them, chance me for UC"S

Obviously the ivies are quite unpredictable and it’s difficult to predict your chances. However, you’re almost certainly going to be accepted in the rest of your college applications apart from perhaps NYU which is a 80-85% chance. Brown and Upenn are mid reaches, while Harvard is impossible to predict!

I’d appreciate it if you could chance me back

Bump 10char

I would say BU, NYU, Fordham, and Northeastern you’re in.
The other schools would be a reach.

Admission to NYU, Northeastern, and BU seems very likely. I’m not familiar with Fordham, Hunter or Brandeis. Wesleyan seems like a match and UPenn, Harvard, and Brown seem like reaches.

are you applying for early decision?

I’m applying everywhere Regular Decision, which probably will hurt me, but it’s over; can’t do anything about it now.
