<p>I just submitted my application to New York University (College of Arts and Science.)
Early Decision II</p>

<p>Here are my stats:</p>

<p>3.688 Unweighted GPA</p>

<p>SAT- 2020
600 Math
690 Critical Reading
730 Writing</p>

<p>US History Subject Test- 750
Spanish Subject Test-720</p>

<p>Lots of extracurriculars (leadership in several activities)</p>

<p>President of National Spanish Honors Society
Assistant Stage Manager
Retreat Organizer/Leader
countless hours in a local soup kitchen
Varsity swimming
JV Water polo
JV Lacrosse Manager
Third Place in school-wide speech contest
Diploma from foreign language school in Madrid
Service in Ecuador</p>

<p>Passionate essays, and great references (teacher who wrote my essay was just praised in the Washington Post:Triumph of a tough writing teacher - Class Struggle - The Washington Post)</p>

<p>Your GPA is average
Your SAT scores are good but your math is kind of low.
Your extra-curricular aren’t a bunch of unrelated things. They are really concentrated in Spanish so it shows you are passionate about one thing.
It’s nice that your teacher was praised by the Washington Post, but I honestly don’t think it will make a really big difference. It might help though!
I think you will probably get it. It’s a match school.<br>
