CHANCE ME FOR NYU ILL CHANCE BACK

Hello guys sorry for the caps in the title

I'm applying to NYU-Poly as a long shot ever since the merge but Poly is where I want to go (my dream high match school....) Please be honest and I'll chance back too! Thanks so much

Stats:
Female, Asian
Intended Major: Computer Science
GPA: 3.7
Rank: top 20%
RANK: 174/885 students (mind blown)

Classes taken: APUSH (3), 8 Honors, taking challenging classes even at my senior yr (currently taking AP Literature and AP Chem), Honors Physics, Honors Global, Honors English both years, Honors Spanish, in Robotics, in an integrated business class, taking calc

Honors Society
SAT: 1580 (510 CR 550M 520W) (below standards, I know, I'm disappointed in myself too)
ACT: -
SAT II: -

I just took Nov SATs today and I hoping for 1700-1800 I'm just horrible at working under pressure

Personal Statement: About me learning how to Ollie on my skateboard and learning from all my failures that kept me going (something of that nature) (I think my essay is ok, I hope it's unique)

Rec's: Got one from my chem teacher who saw me struggling at first term but made it to take ap chem (shows initiative I guess?) I help her out a lot (Rec might be decent)

Counselor (I talk to him a lot, hopefully it's good)
EC's:
- very community service oriented
-tutor for AP chem
-assistance to head chef/baker at bakery for 2-3 years
-100+ hrs tutor at afterschool program
-local church service
-member at filipino club, remedy, christian club, christian solution, red cross club

Throughout my high school career, I felt like I did a lot but when I look back at this list, I feel like just a number and a statistic.. Will NYU ever accept me? I have challenged myself but will NYU see this?

Also can anyone tell me how to up my game? I really want to get in...

Reach due to too low SAT. Come back with better SAT. 1800 isn’t enough.
I’ m sorry if it sounds cruel but schools don’t care if you have hard time working under pressure.

If your SAT is around 1800-1900, you would have a chance. I know someone with lower than 2000 that got into poly… maybe if you have an excellent essay, you’ll have a chance. Some hope though. Good luck!

I’d say your SAT is pretty low for NYU.

If you’re a senior, you don’t really have a lot of time to up your game. Make sure your essay is outstanding.

Sign up for the Nov. ACT if it isn’t too late, you may be able to get a better score on it then on your SAT.

Through your RECs NYU may be able to see that you challenged yourself, but I’m not sure…I’m kind of in the same boat of just not knowing (Senior right here!)

As hopeless as it may seem, I wouldn’t lose hope. Are you doing RD, ED1, or ED2?

Chance me back for NYU?

Reach, just because of that SAT. you definitely have a shot though. Please chance me back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1703807-chance-me-for-usc-notre-dame-boston-college-duke-georgetown.html#latest

your numbers are too low but with good essays you might have a chance

I agree with the others, but with a (hopefully higher) SAT and really good essays, you might have a pretty good shot.

Please chance me!

For the most part your profile seems pretty good, but it’s your SAT that’s going to bring you down. I’d say a 1950 would do you well for NYU.
Chance me back?
