I worked at at a kitchen store many hours a week for 9-10 grade. I manage the accounting and finances.
I also worked at another kitchen many hours a week for 11th grade. I also manage the accounting and finances here too.
Interned at an insurance company as a financial manager.
Interning at a tax place

Tutored kids for free at boys and girls club
cross country freshman and sophomore year</p>

<p>I wrote an amazing essay which was very creative as said by my guidance counselor. I explained in the additional info my freshman and sophomore year grades by explaining religious conflicts with my parents and that my parents did not want me to go into finance so it was hard for me to to pursue my dream.</p>

<p>Awards/ Honors: going to be in the honor society next year. Principal Lists. Scholar Athletes. </p>

<p>My guidance counselors knows my drive and is going to give me an excellent recommendation letter, my physics teacher will give me a good one, My global teacher i think gave me a good one. My business teacher from nyu wrote me an okay one, and my writing teacher wrote me an amazing one.</p>

<p>I don’t see anything wrong with grades. I’m not sure how your school’s GPAs would translate, but NYU doesn’t have a terribly high bar iirc. If you truly have an amazing essay, I believe you are in. There’s not a whole lot more than ECs to say. Good luck!</p>

<p>Stern is extremely competitive to get into. But you’re average has steadily improved. That’s a great sign. Many of times, with the increase in work rigor grades go down from As to A- which is also fine, but you’ve maintained. It’ll show.
Even though they are weighted…I don’t think so it’ll be a problem. I think you should be in.</p>

<p>I’d say you’re very likely to get in. Your SAT scores are mostly above the 75% (your CR is in the mid 50% range, which is still good) at NYU. You have a decent course load, and your GPA is good too.</p>

<p>If your essay’s + recs are as good as you think they are, I don’t think you have to worry about not getting in.
