Chance Me for NYU (Stern), Bucknell, Lehigh, Northeastern (Business)

Hi! This is my first post here, and I’m just looking for some input on my chances for a couple reach schools. I’m applying to other schools, but I have a decent understanding of my chances at those target/safety schools.

NYU, Bucknell, Lehigh, Northeastern, Columbia (lol)

Progressive Action Club (10-12)

Thanks for the help! And if you recommend I check out other schools, I will welcome suggestions.

I forgot to mention, my high school is a typical public high school in suburban Mid-Atlantic

“NYU, Bucknell, Lehigh, Northeastern,” Matches. A lot depends on your essays.

You do realize that Columbia does not have an undergrad business program?

I’m aware. I would major in Econ or a math-related field with business applications. Thanks for the reply!

Hi! I’m a third-year at NYU Stern. I’m in the BPE Program. I stumbled on this post late, but I hope all is well! By now you have most likely submitted your applications, but I just wanted to throw in my two cents. You have a very strong application for Stern, but the finance concentration is much more competitive than others. I would say that what pushes you ahead of other applicants is your common app essay and supplements. That is where you make your best case and highlight your relevant skills, interests, and aspirations in relation to the school. Best of Luck!

Thanks for the reply! Sorry for the late response, I got this notification really late for whatever reason. I appreciate your input as a student at Stern. I’m hoping for the best!

Lehigh might be easier to get into than the rest. Last year applications dropped 20% and had about a 50% acceptance rate. We’ll see how they do this year though. Also for Bucknell I know that its a lot harder to get into there business school as you’ll have to apply directly there. For northeastern a kid from my hs went there for business and they where about an average student so take that for a grain of salt. I don’t know much about nyu stern, but I think its harder to get into than the school its self as I heard nyu itself is generally not that hard to get into.

Thanks for the reply mate. Yeah, Lehigh’s acceptance rate increase was crazy last year, hoping for a similar trend this time around!

your stats look good you should feel confident, but some of these schools could be hard.

Thanks man. Yeah, I’m most iffy on Stern. I should add I never applied to Columbia after all.

Update: Was waitlisted at Bucknell but accepted to Lehigh, Northeastern, and Stern (with a nearly-half scholarship)

Congrats! The NYU Stern offer sounds amazing!
