<p>Ok so I'm still a junior but I really want to go to NYU Stern as I've been growing up near the city my whole life. I just want to know what I can improve on this year to increase my chances of getting in next year when I apply:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.6 (3.5888) - i know its not great but I took all Honors/AP so hopefully that will help me out?
Weighted: 4.8
Class Rank: top 20%
SAT: 2220
Asian American from New Jersey</p>

Chemistry - 630 ( I know... unspeakable lol im probably not gonna send this score)</p>

SEA (Students for Environmental Awareness) - on Executive Board

Debate Club - Mock Trial Witness
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)</p>

<p>Volunteering:
Tutoring
Performing benefit concerts for the elderly (mainly veteran homes)
GMAC - an organization to celebrate Indian culture and music in New Jersey; has volunteered 300+ hours </p>

<p>So yes? no? anything I can do to improve my chance? Any advice is appreciated!!! :D</p>

<p>get your GPA up as high as you can and get as many extracurriculars as possible.</p>

<p>I would say ur unweighted GPA is a bit low… but definitely give it a try cuz u never know :wink:
SAT is pretty good… work on your essay</p>

<p>Take a SAT II in math 2</p>

<p>If you’re full paying, your app right now should be in the range of high match to low reach. GPA is slightly low, need to take the SAT math level 2 for Stern (750+ ideal). Also think about taking AP calculus BC </p>

<p>You GPA is not on par so that definitely needs to go up. SAT score and ECs are good (kinda stuff NYU likes so yay) and I think otherwise you’re fine. Keep in mind though that Stern is VERY competitive so you should probably have a stellar essay :slight_smile: Chance back?
