* how the GPA is weighted: 4.0 for an A and 4.3 for an A+, AP credit plus one point. All my 3 honor classes had AP credit so I had 5 or 5.3 for all my classes except regular US history which I got an 4
Rank: our school does not provide official rankings, but I am among the top 5 out of 44 girl students.
EC: Service Council Leadership Core (Vice president of one of the committees under the Service Council), did internship at HSBC one summer, not very into sports :(
I don't know how much family weighs... my dad is the vice executive of stock exchange in China and my mom is the vice chair of a branch of a bank.</p>
<p>I know the implication of the A+ as 4.3, since I got A+s at an university that uses it (my GPA: 3.67 with A+s counted as 4.3, 3.61 if they were counted as 4.0) and contemplate to go to a grad school that does not. That school’s graduate adcom told me that they considered an A+ on transcript as 4 so I presume that A+s are counted as 4 for unweighted purposes. So, thus far I’m going to go with 4.0.</p>
<p>That said, perhaps a high match (a low match if you wanted to go to NYU for something not called Stern).</p>
