Hello! I am currently a junior in high school, and I just wanted to know if I am on track for some of the schools I am applying to, so please chance me! My top choice is NYU (probably CAS), and I also want to apply to Tufts, Boston University, Middlebury, Georgetown, George Washington, and Boston College. I also have some safeties, but I won’t list them here.
I am a white female from Minnesota, and I go to a pretty high ranking public high school in a suburb of Minneapolis. I have an older sister who attends Georgetown right now (would this help legacy at all?).
My current GPA is 3.770 UW and 4.405 W.

I got a 31 on my ACT (I am taking again next month), and I haven’t taken the SAT yet but I am signed up for the March test date.

Currently taking AP World History, AP Calc AB, AP Spanish Lang, and AP English Lit as well as Honors Chemistry and Band.

Extracurriculars:
Debate- My partner and I won State this year (2016-17)!!! The category is called Classical and it pretty much only exists in Minnesota, but it is recognized by our State High School League. I am also a 2 year team captain and I will be again next year. Novice freshman year, JV sophomore, Varsity junior and senior. 3 year captain as well.
Youth In Government- I will have attended for four years, and for next year’s Model Assembly I was elected the Speaker of the House. I have also had an appointed position (assistant floor leader) for two years. I am the chair of my high school’s board for the State Steering Committee.
Model UN- part of the Youth in Government program but separate form Model Assembly. I will have done 3 years.
Speech- I will have done 3 years as a Varsity speaker and I do Extemp. Speaking. I am also on the Captain’s Council this year. I will have been a 3 year letterwinner as well.
Band-I have played percussion since fifth grade, and I will have been in my district’s top band (Wind Ensemble) for 3 years, probably first chair next year. I am also in marching band and pep band.
Piano- I have played piano for 9 years
Golf- School golf team, probably all four years on JV
Volunteer Tutoring- Freshman and Sophomore year average 2 hours/ Week.
I am also a member of NHS and Tri-M (music honor society). I will run for NHS VP and Tri-M president for next year.
