CHance me for NYU, U of Illinois, UMich, etc will chance back!

You have the hooks of being first-gen and hispanic, also you have awesome SAT scores. The EC’s don’t really show any development of passion though, but that could be because you didn’t provide enough information. Did you win any trophies/awards in the sports you play in? Any leadership experience?

Your GPA is a major weakness too. If you have an upward trend from freshman year, it’ll be looked favorably on, but it’s still not impressive as a 3.1 uw.

Oh and if applying to a school that requires SATII’s, don’t submit the Spanish one. College admissions officers aren’t impressed with SAT language scores when they’re in the student’s native language.

U of Illinois Urbana: Reach
U of Michigan Ann Arbor: Low reach
NYU: Reach
Boston University: Low Reach
Northeastern University: Reach
UC Berkeley: High reach
Stanford: High reach

I don’t know about Rutgers or Indiana either. :/
