Have you already graduated or are those just predictions for senior year?

Hmm…
NYU: In.
Cornell ED: Likely, write good essays.
Darthmouth: Reach, for everybody.
UPenn: High reach, for everbody.

Nice upward trend, and nice ECs(: You might wanna’ include/calculate your unweighted GPA though, it seems to be missing…=P And of what race/ethnicity are you? Just wondering because I saw the 5 on AP Spanish and the 800 on the Spanish subject test. If you’re hispanic, then your chances are better than I’ve stated above(: Best of luck!(:

Hi Elikresses! - Thank you! Haha I should probably do that, eh? :stuck_out_tongue: Haha
I am a white female :). Spanish is one of my best/easiest subjects (I only got a B in 9th grade b/c I was lazy and didn’t do the homework most of the time.)

My teacher has told me that I am the best writer in my class (my grade.) So, I think my essays will be great :stuck_out_tongue: haha. I love writing. I’d love to go to Cornell.

Thank you for replying to my post! :).

No problem, I enjoy chance threads haha(: And god, I envy your Spanish skills! I’m struggling to PASS Spanish 3! But I had 2 bad teachers in a row the years before… Freshman year she got fired, but I had an A. Last year we ended 3 units behind the other teachers. And now I think I have a 74 average! It’s so hard!

But anyway…(: I have no doubt that if your essays are as outstanding as you predict, you’ll be in at Cornell, as far as ED goes. And they’ll be lucky to have you, too(: Hmm, if you’re that great at writing, I might bug you to read my application essays sooner or later…=P

I know exactly what you’re talking about! But for a different class haha. I’ve never had a great foundation in math, because all of my teachers prior to my SOPHOMORE year were horrible and unwilling to teach. My mathematical ability is so strange, too. I struggled to get an A in Geometry in 10th grade, and even Algebra I was difficult for me in 9th grade; but yet I could grasp lambda and all of the crazy calculations that Honors Chem required me to understand. Strange. Lol. I am still kicking myself in the face for being so immature and apathetic in 8th grade. I could’ve taken Algebra I had I just asked! But nope. I didn’t care to ask. sigh lol.
Math is the only thing that I am freaking out about, though. I would kill to be in AP Calculus AB, but my guidance counselor won’t let me test out of pre-calc. AND I want to be a radiologist! So this math curricula won’t be the greatest thing to see! lol. Ahh…
Regarding Cornell ED, thank you for making me feel better haha. I have been so worried. :).
If you would like me to read your app essays, I’ll be more than willing! I love doing that stuff!
Btw, what schools are you applying to?

OH yes and if you’d like, I could help out with the Spanish too :P

And yes guys, the senior year thing is predicted. I am really confident that I’ll score those 5s on U.S Gvt, English Lit, and Spanish, as I got an 800 on the SAT Spanish II…lol. Art Hist and Bio…hmm…lol most likely a 4.

and right now I’m a diver for the flaquarium, so that’s not a summer thing…just to clarify…lol

I’m actually a junior, I’m applying as an early entrant to Shimer College, a tiny Great Books college in Chicago(: I haven’t written my essays yet, though. Well, not on paper, I’ve got one halfway written in my head haha. No point writing them yet, since I’m taking the SAT in January. Shimer has rolling admission, thank god(:
