Hi guys.
I am an international student from China and really like the United States' colleges. I want to go to NYU very much, but I am considering my chance for it.
So my SAT1 score is CR620+M750+W640=2010, and 2030 (W660) when superscored.
My SAT2 Math2 is 790 and physics 760. I have also taken the English test TOEFL and my score is 104.
My EC is just so so though. I used to be an exchange student in New York State.
Can anyone help me about my chance for NYU? I would appreciate a lot :)

Hello!

As for your SAT scores, your CR and W are on the low end, but your math score is excellent. I would need to know much more about you holistically in order to accurately assess your chances of admission (I don’t know your GPA, extracurriculars, interests, etc.).

Knowing what you posted, I would say NYU is a low reach school. With some stellar essays and recommendations, though, it could be a match school since they do accept 1/3 of all applicants. Good luck!

Chance me, please? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1432979-chances-nyu-macaulay-fordham-columbia.html#post15213921

We need more info. GPA. ECs, intended major etc…

Sorry…
I am currently studying 8 AP courses: calculus BC, physics B&C, mi/macroeconomy, US history, English composition, chemistry, computer sicence and statistics.
My GPA is 90+/100(sorry i dont know how to convert it…) and my rank is like top 10%
I used to attend conservation program and management program. Last year I went to New York state as an exchange student there and I attended the Jazz band and did some voluntary work there in the church…I know my EC is not outstanding sorry…
My intended major is engineering or economy, but it doesn’t really matter what kind of major: I think I might get immediately rejected once I have declared a major…

If you want engineering, apply to NYU-Poly…

NYU: High match
NYU-Poly: Safety (NYU-Poly isn’t that great, try Polytechnique in Montreal, much better and much more affordable than NYU-Poly)

GUYS I’m very sorry to be posting this here but I need help!!
I don’t know what to do. My school sent my transcript and teacher recommendations by mail, and my counselor is sending her recommendation by mail as well. I started reading that some unis such as U. Maryland College Park require a paper form type of recommendation to be filled out by my teachers and counselor. They sent their recommendations by mail already and I highly doubt they filled out any of these paper forms since they gave their copy to the secretary to mail it with the transcript.

What should I do?? Do universities accept this or do I have to ask them to fill each individual paper teacher/counselor recommendation form??? My school breaks for holidays tomorrow!! HELP
