<p>My apologies in advance for this horrendously long post. Please chance me for NYU, and I will definitely chance back! Thank you so much</p>

<p>current junior (2013-2014 year) class of 2015
kansas
public high school of approx 2100 students
female
asian (100% chinese)
First generation american but both parents did go to college (in US) and have professional degrees (ie- MD, PhD, Pharm D, DDS, etc)
income ~$110,000
Divorced parents, live with mom</p>

<p>UW/W GPA: 4.00 / 4.27
Class rank: 12 of 478 (as of end of soph year)</p>

<p>ACT: October 2013. 31 composite. 34 English. 30 math. 28 reading. 31 science. 33 combined English/Writing with a 10 on the essay (12 point scale). Planning to retake.</p>

<p>SAT: taking in Jan. guessing around 2000 so I wanna try to bring that up
SAT IIs: yeah i gotta get on that some time this year... Going to take Physics and Math II</p>

<p>Junior year (this year):
AP english language and composition

College physics (algebra based, weighted like AP classes. school does not offer any AP physics)
spanish 4 (took spanish 3 the summer before junior year at the local community college)
QUEST (gifted program. completing the last semester of computer credit, designed an engineering and technology project in conjunction with a science museum, self-studying for AP physics c: mechanics)
CAD 1 (2nd semester only)</p>

<p>All As this past fall semester. </p>

not sure what my last class will be, either Anatomy or CAD2&3.</p>

<p>You should be fine for NYU. You don’t really need to take the SATs if you already have a pretty good ACT score. If I were you I would just retake the ACT if you really want to.</p>

LSP and rest around 2050
As long as you are in those range you should be fine</p>

<p>CAS. 2100 on SAT loosely converts to a 31 ACT. Do you think I should still fret about the SAT?</p>

<p>I’d say Match/Low match. You seem fine. Wish I could go.</p>

<p>Stick to the ACT I think; don’t bother with the SAT if it isn’t working for you. You seem incredibly qualified. I don’t know that much about the physics dept. but you should probably take some SAT II’s that are science-related.</p>
