NYU’s a bit of a reach. But can you afford it?
Agree with previous poster’s question, and I don’t think you will get in with those scores.
@jackrabbit14 i hope the financial aid will cover the cost. You never know just hope for the best !
@jarrett211 what score will be perfect for nyu according to my gpa and activities ?
@Haidarasjad NYU’s one of the most expensive schools in the country and notoriously stingy with financial aid. But I think if you get your SAT close to a 2000 you have a decent shot.
Yes, a 2000-2100 is good for NYU. Being a first-generation college student is a nice hook, but yeah, NYU is stingy with financial aid, so you should begin looking into merit aid, both inside and outside NYU. Are you in state?
@pupscotch yes i am in-state but i dont know much about financial aid section ! Can you help ?
Financial aid will be MUCH easier to get since you are instate, and I know of several instate scholarships from NYU only available to New York residents, so check the NYU website and look up scholarships and grants, see what you can find! Apply for everything you are eligible for, you never know what you will get!
