I am an international student applying to Oberlin from Nepal. I admit it is not easy to predict the chances of admissions when several factors come to play in deciding the admissions. Yet, I am seeking your help out of utter restlessness.</p>

<p>Awarded a highly commendable Performance award in the annual school play at my high school.
Grade ten SLC topper from school and bagged the PABSON excellency award ( national level honor) for securing highest marks in Nepali language in the SLC exam.
Won several Nepali language essay writing and creative writing competitions within the school.

<p>Volunteered as a full time science teacher at my previous school.
Worked as the vice president of The environment club of my high school and carried out several afforestation programs and a great inter school 'Environment Olympiad'.
Acted in the annual school play.
Served as the Chief Editor of the annual school magazine for Nepali language.
Formed a team of enthusiastic high school friends and conducted a grand mathematics festival in one of the districts that witnessed participation of about 400 students. Also prepared educational report of the situation of MATHS learning at the district.
Tutored junior students during my high school and initiated a mass science and maths tutoring program which in turn enhanced the SLC results of school during the year.
Established libraries at two underprivileged schools at the nation and donated around 2000 books and educational resources to them.
Carried out household activities and work for the family. Prepared meals, did laundry and domestic chores throughout a year.</p>

<p>I need a substantial amount of financial aid.
I hope they will also consider my background. I was schooled until grade in an institution with no proper resources. Hence, I had to overcome a great challenge to thrive academically and improve my English language. If they can consider that for my not so good performance in the CR and AS English Language, I d be more hopeful.</p>
