<p>White dude. Wouldn’t say my high school is competitive, we tend to send everybody to the top two state schools, no ivies or anything like that. Courses are very rigorous though, and the school has very low level of grade inflation. A 94 is an A here.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.5013 W, 3.306 UW (I think, my math might be off.) </p>

Started a Political Club
Very involved in the German Club.
Nobleteens (a Charity Club)
Work 30 Hours a week at a Grocery Store, occasional Night Manager on weekends.</p>

<p>Awards:
AP Scholar with Honor
Academic Letter all four years</p>

<p>Essays are very strong, English-teacher approved :D
Anything I’m missing, lemme know.</p>

<p>So what are my chances at Occidental like? Out-of-state, if it makes a difference.
Also looking at URichmond and George Washington. I LOVED my visit at Georgetown, but it seems kinda impossible.</p>

<p>@OP: I think you have excellent chances at Oxy. Your GPA is somewhat lower than average (although rank is in the top 10%, which is good), but your SAT scores are strong and so are your EC’s (30 hours a week–yay! Another employed student). Your AP scores are great also although you listed AP Psych twice. Plus, you’re a boy! I think you have a good chance at GWU and probably at Richmond as well. I’d apply to Georgetown as a reach, but don’t expect anything. GL!</p>

<p>and yeah, I listed psych twice–thanks for being such an ass about it dmoc. one of those AP’s should be english literature, my bad.</p>

<p>yeah I always figured georgetown would be a reach but it’s where my mom went so she’s pushing for me to at least give it a shot.</p>

<p>I say you will likely get in at GWU, Richmond, and Occidental. Georgetown obviously is a reach for 95% of people, but you’re not too far off.</p>

<p>Those all look good. Your GPA is low, but explain the grade inflation and it seems you have a shot.</p>
