Chance me for Ole Miss! I will chance back!

chance for chance anyone?

@kdswish i chanced you

I think you’ll get into Ole Miss. There’s not a lot of info here, but it sounds like you have a decent shot.

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1549053-columbia-ed-will-chance-back-within-12-hours.html</a></p>

I love how people are telling him it’s a high match or whatnot. I’ve already presented the admissions criteria for Mississippi. The OP said he satisfied them. Assuming he submits an application before the deadline, he’s in.

Are you sure? Ole Miss acceptance rate is pretty low this year! It went from 79% last year to 62% this year!

Mississippi does not use holistic admission as it’s legally barred from doing so (has to do with its past history of segregation). If you meet the numerical cutoff, you’re in.

That’s pretty interesting

Yeah that is pretty interesting. I never knew that but thanks!

Well then there must be a lot of dumb people applying to Mississippi.

I will also note that the school I transferred to publishes numerical GPA cutoffs for various majors and specifically states that applicants who meet the cutoffs are in. Those that do not will be rejected. Essentially there’s no reason why anyone who applies for transfer admissions there should be rejected, but every year hundreds are. I’d imagine it’s a similar situation with Ole Miss where applicants should be able to read the admission criteria and decide for themselves whether or not they meet it, but many end up not doing so.

What school did you transfer to? and yeah I always thought transferring is harder than applying as freshmen, wouldn’t you say? but whatever I gotta send this application in ASAP!

The University of Oklahoma.

The rigor of the transfer process depends on the school. In my case all I needed to do was fill out some basic info about myself, my school, my courses, submit my transcripts, and wait two weeks for the acceptance letter. Even before I applied, I knew I’d get in as my GPA exceeded the minimum. Other universities require far more from their students, and for a few elite universities the transfer acceptance rate is lower than the freshman one.

Mhmm I see! Thanks for the insight!!

I say match

Thanks man! Do you guys recommend submitting my application first or sending in my transcripts and test scores first?

Just go by what the application tells you. Here’s the application for freshmen who are currently seniors in hs: <a href=“SAP NetWeaver Portal”>SAP NetWeaver Portal;

Alright thanks!

Chance 4 chance anybody?
