Chance for the other schools as well please.

Seem to havr a good chance for all of those schools. Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame, University of Southern California, and Northwestern may be tough. You have good hooks and favorable background.

Your GPA is going to be a major concern at most likely all of these. For example Indiana, only admits 3% of there class with your GPA or lower. Wisconsin is 0.5%. What does your GPA trend look like? Upward, downward, or steady(uw)? You have to remember, that OOS acceptance into most state flagships is way more competitive then instate. Places like Duke, NW, and UM are going to reject 34 ACTs with way better GPA’s.

Before you take the advice of the above poster, you may want to look at the question that they asked on their other thread.

@Eeyore123 How do you know about these stats? Just wondering.

College board website @rohroh017 but i think the numbers are people with those stats who attended if im not mistaken

@rohroh017 They are from the common data set that most schools provide. Just google common data set to find. I should have said enrolled, not admitted. However, the admitted population is normally stronger than the enrolled.

Hey! I live in a suburb of Columbus, my mother is an OSU grad and my brother is currently a freshman at OSU, so I know the process pretty well. Your ACT score is extremely good for the school (about 80-85th percentile), but your GPA is pretty rough. The average UW is around a 3.65-3.7, so you will definitely have to explain the reasoning behind why your GPA is, relatively, extremely low.

I agree with the others that your GPA is going to be tough to get around. Do you have any safeties?

Also, all of those schools are pricey, including the public schools if you are out of state. Are all of those affordable? Have you run the net price calculators for all of them?

I appreciate everyone’s feedback thus far! @suzy100 I have been admitted in Mizzou, Arizona, and IU (Kelley) so far.

OK so are those affordable @o24631?

Yes, I have a plan as to how I’m going to pay

OK, I don’t mean to be intrusive, but what does it mean that you have a “plan” as to how your are going to pay? A student can only borrow limited amounts on his/her own. For freshman year that amount is $5500. How much have your parents said they will contribute? Have you run the Net Price Calculators at these schools? For example, I know that IU is very expensive for out of state kids.
