Chance me for Ohio State, Penn State, UT Austin, Tulane, & College of Charleston? I promise I'll chance back.
Also if you want, others I'm considering are UGA, U Miami, U Pitt, Boston U & Northeastern.

GPA- weighted: 4.11, unweighted: 3.56
SAT-1860: Math-630, Reading-610, Writing-620 (I'm retaking it and my goal is 1950)
EC's- Youth & Government for 1 year, YMCA leader's club member for two years, leadership position in school's Green Team (not president), participation in Class Council. 150+ service hours.
Rank-30th percentile (I go to a competitive school)
AP World-4
AP Comparative Government-4
Pretty strong senior schedule. (2 APs, 4 honors)

I'm a white female and I go to a very competitive public school (which is why my class rank is so terrible), I'm not applying to anywhere in state, but I also do not need any financial aid if that is a factor.

It’s a good list, UT a stretch probably. Chances at Tulane and Miami maybe 40-50%. Pitt should be OK, 60-70%. Others should be fine, I think. Let’s put it this way. You should definitely get into at least 2 or 3 of those, so if you like all those schools, you should be in great shape.

Tulane, Miami, BU, Northeastern are questionable, ranging from approx. 25% chance (Tulane) to 50% (BU/Northeastern).

I’d say you have a good shot at the rest of 'em.

Tulane is a stretch. Miami and UT are too close to call, but the others are safe. By the way, I like your college list. I’m only a JR now, but I have many of those on my list (PSU, OSU, UT, Miami, and UGA)

Yeah, I am going to agree with the others and amend Tulane to 20-25%, because your SAT scores are at or a bit below the 25% percentile scores for Tulane. Your GPA is just a tad low, especially in light of your rank. Miami isn’t too different, although their scores tend to be about 30-50 less I think. Still, you will get in somewhere great.

Ohio State, Penn State, U Pitt, and Northeastern I think you have a very good shot at. Boston U is a reach but definatly a possibility. I really dont know the other schools well enough to give good advice on them

I think that you have a pretty good list. If you live in Texas I’d say that you’re in UT-A. Out of state admissions for it are a lot more competitive but I’d think you’d have a 40-50% chance. Tulane is a reach mainly because of SAT/GPA. Miami and Boston are low reaches/high matches. Everywhere else you should get in at.

She said she was not applying anywhere in-state, so she must not live in Texas.

as others have said, UT is gonna be near impossible since you OOS. Tulane and Miami are reaches but are not completely out of the question and may accept you. You also have a good shot at BU but it is a little on the fence. I think youd be accepted to all the others on your list. Good luck! please chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/990297-chances-i-promise-ill-chance-back.html
