<p>Chance me for Oxford College of Emory?
I applied to Oxford College of Emory and I'm wondering if I have a good chance of being accepted.</p>
<p>UW GPA 3.08
W GPA 3.24</p>
<p>SAT 2120 (620 CR, 800 M, 700 W)</p>

<p>Your UW GPA is very low, even for Oxford, but your SAT score is pretty much in Oxford’s 70%-ish percent range.</p>
<p>The trouble with a high SAT but low GPA is that it implies a lazy student who does well on tests but doesn’t want to put forth the effort in the classroom. If your high school grades on a curve (ie, only the top two or three best students get an A for an assignment or paper), then it’s somewhat explainable. </p>
<p>If with your low GPA you have a high class rank, however, it gives off the impression that your high school is uber-hard (or that all the kids there are less motivated than you, lol).</p>
