Hi! I recently submitted my application for Penn and it is one of my top options for where I’d like to go right now. Please chance me!
I am a Hispanic (Mexican and Cuban) girl fluent in Spanish.

AP : AP Calculus AB (5); AP Language (5); Ap bio (3); Apush (3); World history (3)
Senior Year Course Load: AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Literature, AP Macroeconomics, AP Government, Church History, World Religions (required theology courses)
First semester grades all A’s, B in Ap Calc BC

Essays: common app is probably a 7/8. Penn essay is very good, I’d say at least an 8 or higher because I really talked about Penn’s efforts and programs to introduce women and minorities into stem fields and I talked about how this has always been important to me, etc.
Recommendations : Have not read, but I’m sure they are excellent as I had a very good relationship with both teachers and my guidance counselor. Both teachers were science teachers.
Applied for Financial Aid?: Yes
Intended Major: Engineering (Chemical)
State: Florida
School Type: Private Catholic
Ethnicity: Hispanic (Mexican/Cuban)
Gender: Female
Income Bracket: >150,000
Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): I’m an underrepresented minority female applying for engineering. I think that helps me. Additionally I made it clear in my essay that this kind of representation is important to me and Penn has various programs that contribute to increasing it.
Thanks so much for reading!!
