Would I make it into Pomona? Do u think Pomona, Claremont McKenna, or Pitzer would best fit my profile/should I apply to 1, 2 or all three? Is it customary to apply to more than one Claremont college? Or you recommend some potential match colleges?

Thanks to anyone who replies! I appreciate your response

Pomona and CMC are equally difficult to get into. That is, every year there are kids who get into one, and rejected from the other. Pitzer is very competitive too, but not to the level of the other two. But it’s a great school. As far as a match, it depends on what you want to study, as you didn’t specify. Hopefully you get your SAT score up a bit, or score a 33 or better on the ACT. That will give you a decent chance.

I also think you should apply to all three, depending on whether the curricula of the individual school suits you. Keep in mind that with sub-10% acceptance rates, there are plenty of very fine applicants who don’t get in. And keep in mind that the unhooked (moneyed legacy, athlete, URM, first time college) is sub-5%.

So, look at each school’s mission statement of what they do, how they teach, and the kind of person they are looking for. And then you need to make your application stand out without making it look like you’re parroting what they are looking for. And while the interviews are not mandatory, it’s very tough to get in without one.
