Why Engineering at Duke: What classes and labs sparked my interest in genetic engineering and tissue engineering. Specific references to curriculum and mentions other interests in Duke in general. Again, I do not feel that it is spectacular, but above competent.

Teacher Recommendation: Didn't see them. One teacher who knows me well personally and characteristically, one teacher whose class I've excelled academically in. I'm expecting both to be well written.
Counselor Rec: Didn't see it. New IB Coordinator, so I'm a little nervous, but I expect it to be professional and really highlight the rigors of my high school career.

Anyone? :O

I think you have a pretty good chance, if that good assurance for you. I can’t say for sure, but if I had to put an estimate, probably about 60-70% chance. The only thing I would say holding you back are:

 1. SAT scores, especially SAT IIs could be a bit higher for Pratt
 2. Your application seems very “cookie-cutter”, as in the typical Asian Chinese applicant, applying BME and going for pre-med (ex. “Orthopedic Unit Medical Intern at University of California at Irvine Medical Center”, “Hospital Volunteering”)

I’ve thought about that… Hopefully it won’t be the deal breaker. Thanks for the reply!
